Leave a bone for Walt Flanagan's Dog

Nicknames:
Flanagan, Puppy, Jerk, Jerkstore, and Mr. Sneaky Pants

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Likes:
Biting things, taking things that aren't his, and being chased.

Pet-Peeves:
Touching his feet, large vehicles, people getting near his territory, and not being near mom and dad at all times.

Favorite Toy:
His tire, but socks, shoes, gloves, and slippers are his real favorites.

Favorite Food:
Anything but broccoli. Loves bugs and any food left unattended. He has been known to eat kleenex, drywall, and his own shedded fur.

Favorite Walk:
Around the neighborhood.

Best Tricks:
Sit, stay, shake, and wake up mom.

Arrival Story:
We were looking for a dog at the Humane Soceity where mom volunteers. We had ruled out one dog because she was too big and bossy. We went to look at a second dog, but he had been adopted earlier in the day. While we were there we saw this 45 pound mutt, nicknamed Starvin' Marvin because he was neglected by prior owners. He was wagging his tail so hard his entire backside was wagging back and forth. We took him for a walk, then adopted him right then and there. He has since put on 20 pounds and is a loveable jerk.

Bio:
He is a slightly aggressive and clumsy dog that has cut his tongue, took a chunk of fur out of his head, cut his foot, and one nasty stomach issue from eating uncooked doggie treats. He thinks he is a lap dog and will sit on any part of your body to prove it. He loves going for rides and his mom and dad spoil him any chance they get.

Today we went for a walk for the first time in a while as Dayton has been pretty cold. Went to look at a friend's new house and on the way encountered a large number of dogs that were in desperate need of socialization, Flanagan decided to see if he could bark louder than them. We need to walk him more often. He also tried to attack an ambulance traveling in the opposite direction...told you he hates large vehicles.

When we got home he immediately had to check out all the possible entry points for little critters, 2 birds and 3 mice have met an untimely demise due to intruding on Flanagan's territory in his brief reign as guardian of the house. The last mouse was left on the doorstep for mom to almost step on, she freaked out a tiny bit.

He is now sleeping quite contently while mom is watching television.

Take it easy,

Us
