Arrival Story: We did tons of research as to what kind of dog we wanted. When we finally decided on a lab, I asked one of my students what breeder they got their dog from.( I had seen pictures) We got to see the whole litter at 6 weeks. So cute! When we finally went to pick her up to bring her home, she was so sweet. She kept running over from her brothers and sisters to us, as if to say "I know you are going to be my new mom and dad!" She is the best!

Yesterday was my birthday, and it was a pretty fun day! I got an extra huge bone to chew, plus my mommy and daddy even got me a cute special for dogs birthday cake. I can't believe I am 5! I still look pretty young, and I can sure run around like NUTS still! I can't believe my mom forgot to change the email address on dogster though. Awhile back they got a new internet provider, and now I didn't get to get my birthday greeting from dogster. Oh well, I don't let anything keep me sad for too long.
My mom and dad have been trying like crazy to enter me to be the next Old Navy dog. They try like 10 times a day, and keep getting the message that the doghouse is full. Frustrating! I just KNOW I would win... Everyone says how cute I am.

Wow. What a week! I am almost glad it is Monday and Mommy went back to work! She had vacation from school and all those kids last week, so she got to stay home with me. We did sooo many fun things! Last Saturday we babysat my (human) cousins, the twins. They are 3, like me, and they can even tire me out. I love to play with them. They sure do like to talk a lot! We also took a lot of trail runs in the forest (Daddy came too). One day I got to go out with my dog friends. I love them sooo much. We run and run and run and swim and swim and swim and fetch and fetch and fetch(being the good retrievers that we are!)
Hmmm, what else.... Well, on Friday we went to babysit the twins again. That sure was fun. I love to be one of the girls and hang out with them. They have a new baby brother who my Mommy was holding a lot. I did not quite know what to make of him. He smelled ok, but nobody would let me kiss him. That made me kind of sad, but he was just born a few days ago, so maybe next time?? Anyway, then it was the weekend again, and we did lots of fun weekend things. Like yard work. I am such a good helper. I always bring the branches and debris back up to mom and dad. I am not quite sure why they are always cleaning up the yard. I mean, who doesn't want a yard full of sticks? Got to go, I think it's time for a run.

Life is so great! Today my mommy and daddy took me to this awesome place that I love. There are always tons of dogs there! As soon as we got there, I jumped out of the Jeep and ran around with a really cute Boxer. I didn't catch his name, but we had a great time together. Then I ran around with a whole bunch of other dogs. I am kind of like the party dog. I get everyone else all excited and running around too. It' so fun. My mom and dad were really proud of me, and said I was really growing up. Now that I am almost four, I am a lot more obedient. Well, can't write much more. Dad is still eating dinner and I might be missing out on some table scraps. Can't wait for tomorrow- I am going to Grammy and Grampy's house for Easter!
