Arrival Story: My husband and I were looking for a companion for our year old GSD. We wanted another GSD because we both like the basic characteristics of the breed. We were searching the internet on petfinder.com and came across this little girl and her sister. She obviously was not a full bred GSD, but there was something in her face and eyes. I drove over 6 hours, one way, to meet this little girl. The next weekend I drove back again and picked her up. She's full grown now, and a little over half of Beau's size. She doesn't let that stop her - they wrestle, play tag and generally have a great time.
Bio: Her breed is anybody's guess. The lady we got her from guessed boxer/GSD. She and her sister were left on the doorstep of the woman I got her from. Both their tails were "nubs". We don't know if they were docked by whoever left them, or if nature did this. No matter how her life started, she is the sweetest little girl. She loves to run and play and give kisses. When she is happy, her little nub of a tail goes a mile a minute!

Mom says I am 'allergic' to those big piles of leaves she put in the yard for me. So now, the leaves are gone and she even cleaned out my hidey hole under the gazebo!! The only good thing is, peanut butter is very good for 'allergies'. I get some about once a day. It's a little crunchy, but that's ok, I like crunchy peanut butter.
Mom must be making those big piles of leaves for me!! They are kinda fun to crunch around in, and they make a good place to hide my bones and my frisbee.
Mom was home all day yesterday, and it looks like she's staying home today. We got to ride into town, but then Mom took Beau (spoiled stinky ol' Beau) inside and I didn't get to go! But when they came out, I got a treat too, so it was all good. We got to go for a walk in town, and then play a ton and Mom made my leaf piles. Dad finally came home, but he was busy playing with some new toy of his, but we convinced him to go outside to play (we have to make sure he gets his exercise you know) and then we were all just pooped.
He put up extra lights just so he could take the trash out at night??? I mean he spent a LOT of time this weekend working on them, then he took it all down and did it the right way (I told him he was doing it wrong the first time, but did he listen to me...no....), and then he came home today and put up another light before taking us for our walk. So after dinner, we ALL take a nap, then Dad JUMPS out of his chair and runs outside with us right on his tail...Dad NEVER runs, so we knew it had to be pretty cool!! We got outside, and we could see all the way down to the fence at the front of the yard??? I guess Dad can't see in the dark like me and Beau. Well, we played a few times, but then when it was nice and cold and dark, Dad goes into all the rooms saying bad words, then goes to the garage and we can hear him banging stuff around before we see him walking down the driveway pulling the trash can?? NOW we know why he put those lights up!!! He likes taking the trash out at night, but he's scared of the dark????
