Arrival Story:
My boyfriend and I initially found Petey on accident. We were not in the market for a dog but through some completely random clicking and a few links later we ended up on the site of a rescue group called Rocket Dog Rescue. Browsing through the site we stumbled on Petey's profile. A few months went by and we continually found ourselfs checking the Rocket Dog site to see if Petey had gotten adopted. Needless to say this started a discussion about pets. We agreed that if Petey was still up for adoption in 6 months we would give him a home. 6 months later we took a reluctant Petey home and 2 weeks later he acted like he had been with us his entire life.

I ALWAYS enjoy my time whenever my parents take me out. Whether it be to Petsmart, the dog park or even just an occasional car ride while they run errands, seeing the sites and smelling the air always perks up my mood. This past weekend however not so much. As we entered petsmart to check out some new toys and pick up dog food my mom and dad stopped briefly at the entrance. My tail stopped wagging and my eyes glazed over. It was the ASPCA holding an adoption event. Each dog was cramped in an individual cage and I remembered back to when I was in the same situation. My heart began pounding as my mom held me. All the dogs looked to sad and I felt for each and every one of them. I wondered if maybe my parents were gonna leave me with them. I've been returned 4 times and the pain never went away.
As we walked around the cages my mommy pointed out a small white chihuahua puppy. She said it reminded her of me and how cute it was. Part of me was dreading thinking of another puppy coming into our home since we already have desi but luckily dad said we didn't have room for it. As we walked away my mommy hugged me tight and kissed my head. I think she can read my mind sometimes. She told me not to worry because ill never be in that situation again.
We went on with our shopping and as we exited my mommy read my mind once more. She lifted me up and held me close. She told me not to worry about the puppies because they weren't gonna come home with us but she also said that they are gonna find really good homes.

I believe her...she hasn't let me down yet.

I find it increasingly frustrating having to use an outside restroom. i am in no way built for rough and rugged terrain nor am i aquatic. My fur offers little to no insulation and i merely grew it for beauty. With this being said, i think pooping in the restroom is completely acceptable. :)
