Arrival Story:
Smurf is a darling fawn "pocket boxer", weighing in at a whopping 37 pounds! This petite lady has stolen the hearts of her foster family with her good manners, affectionate nature, and fun personality. She is currently living with a five year old child that she adores and who she is always very sweet and gentle. Smurf greets her family with a hero's welcome every time they come home and loves to play with them, especially if a ball is involved! Smurf delights in any type of ball or squeeky toy. She also loves car rides and to snuggle. Smurf believes in getting up close and personal and would love to find a home where she can sleep in a bed, curled up to a family member. Who wouldn't love that?
Smurf is currently living happily with another dog however she does tend to show some dominant tendencies so her adoptive family should be prepared to be a strong Pack Leader to let Smurf know that they have the situation under control. We have not tested her with cats yet. Smurf has wonderful manners: she is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. This little lady is very smart and cunning and will take well to someone who will work with her on continual training. Sweet Smurf is happy, healthy, and ready to find a forever family to charm and delight!
