Likes:
Tenzing loves his morning walk and his late evening walk and any walk in between walks. He also loves to roughhouse on the bed, harass the cat, sniff out bunnies in the bushes.

Pet-Peeves:
Mommy reading the paper and ignoring him! Also, incoming teenagers get menacing growls.

Favorite Toy:
The squeaky ball! And the Bully stick. (He's becoming fond of the deflated soccer ball, too.)

Favorite Food:
Liver treats and frozen blueberries. (And the occasional potato chip.)

Favorite Walk:
To the park, or anywhere, the longer the better, preferably in pouring rain, driving snow or biting cold. But absolutely not in hot sun.

Best Tricks:
T-Dog jumps straight up in the air to get attention. He can Twirl, Sit and Shake, but only if a T.R.E.A.T. is in play. Otherwise, forget it! Oh, and T-Dog smiles hugely when he hasn't seen you in awhile.

Arrival Story:
We found a stray TT and kept him for the weekend until his owner came, but that was enough to fall in love with Tibetan Terriers. So, after a lengthy search, we drove to Casper, Wyoming to pick 10-week-old Tenzing up from the breeder and drove him back to Prairie Village, KS. It took two long days and Tenzing hasn't liked the car much since.

Bio:
In addition to his human family, Tenzing has a cat pal who he "disciplines" and "herds", plus two birdies that he would love to "catch" but settles for chasing them around the house! T-Dog had his right foreleg broken on the evening of April 19th, 2004, in a freak accident while on a walk on a leash. But he's just fine now. In the hot weather, he hangs out in his own private pool on the deck. A few years ago, we met Jamling Norgay, son of Tenzing Norgay, who scaled Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. Since T-Dog was whelped on the 50th anniversary of this amazing feat, we agreed that "Tenzing" would be an excellent name for a dog whose breed originated in the Himalayas. As Tenzing himself likes to say, "All others are pretenders!"
