Arrival Story:
We adopted our first American bulldog in 2010. He is deaf, and the best listening dog I have ever had. We always said if we came across another deaf American Bulldog, we would adopt them. Oneday, we came across a rescue called Annabelle'sSecond Chance, they rescue bully breeds. They had rescued Cashmere's mother and her pups from a bad breeder, and were rehabilitating the small family. Cashmere had been adopted out, but then returned because the family could not handle her. We adopted her in June of 2012. She knew minimal signlanguage, but because our other ABD is so good with them, she caught on quick! We still talk to both dogs when we sign to them because they react off of your facial expression as well as the hand signal.

There are two types of American Bulldogs, the Scott type and the Johnson type. Zeus is a Scott type, and Cashmere is a cross between the Johnson and the Scott.
