Favorite Toy: Her tug toys...as long as I'm on the other end.
Favorite Food: Salmon treats.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere!
Arrival Story: After losing Moochie I didn't want another dog. And after a few months...I realized I needed another dog. Blossom was found wandering in a field and went into a "kill" shelter for four months, then spent about six months in foster care until she came to live with me. She was overweight with terrible skin (loss of hair). She has lost 8 pounds and most of the hair has grown back (still a bald patch on her tail which will probably never improve). After running all the tests imaginable, we believe she may have sun allergies.
She came with many issues, the hardest to fix being fear - when we'd meet someone on the sidewalk she'd hide behind my legs. But after many group walks and training sessions, she is much improved. Just recently she passed her Canine Good Citizen test!
December 2013: Blossom learned to swim this past summer and LOVED it. She favored retrieving tennis balls. Sadly, I have to let you know that she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the end of September. I found her on her favorite pillow by my computer - instead of on my bed. It has taken a long time to get used to her being gone. For the first time in nearly 20 years I am without any pets at all.
Bio: Since we don't know her birthday, we selected her "gotcha date" as her birthday.
