Arrival Story:
I was abandoned by my previous family the day after Thanksgiving 2004 at the Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo, CA. A week later, a funny-looking couple came to look at me. I played with them for 20 minutes in an "interview" room...they seemed to like me (ha the fools!). I was so happy to be out of my cage! Two days later (and after I got neutered...ouch!), I went home with the said couple...and I've been sitting on the "King Mutt" throne in my new home ever since!

I am a mellow guy who would not hurt a fly (however I do have less than honorable intentions for the following: pigeons, egrets, small yappy dogs, that damn red dot). I love to play with other pooches, and I know almost every dog in my park. I'm hoping to meet some of my fave play buddies here on Dogster! Dear Debo: You just put up a ton of beach you go to the beach often?

Debo's Answer: The beach is my favorite place to be! Since I live pretty close to the beach, Mom and Dad take me to all sorts of beaches all the time. My all-time favorite is probably the Fort Funston beach, where thousands of dogs can be seen at any given weekend...The list of activities that I can do at the beach is endless! Here are a just a few:

• Play keep-away with waves
• Trip & fall into small tidal pools
• Try to spot and fetch my ball in the waves (well it's a yellow ball on white you expect me to see it with my color-blindness?!)
• eat dead crab parts
• terrorize sea birds
• sniff rotting seaweed
• build sandcastles (abstract ones of course)
• write love notes in the sand (Molly!! xoxo Arrrrroooouuu!!)

So are you hung-over or what?

Question: Dear was your Labor Day weekend? Did you partaaay away?!

Debo's Answer: You bet I did!! Labor Day weekend was jam-packed with events. On Friday evening there was a big end-of-summer party at my local dog park where I mingled with all my local pup pals, caught up on the latest gossip, smelled some new dog butts, and hunted for dropped crumbs under the picnic table amidst a gaggle of drunk humans and canines...Whoo!!

On Saturday, Mom and Dad and I took a loooong walk to Baker Beach. It was a sweltering least for San Francisco (and for me in my "custom-trim" black fur coat). When we finally got to the beach, I spent about 45 minutes running into the waves to retrieve my ball. Boy that was so fun! Can you even tell that when I was first adopted, I was afraid of swimming?! Nowadays I go in the ocean so much I'm sure I'll be reincarnated as some sort of fish.

That same evening we had some house guests stay over (friends of Mom & Dad) so I got several well-deserved "dog massages" without having to do any stupid commands...yay! With new people in the house, I could barely sleep all night...

On Sunday and Labor Day (today), when I finally stopped yawning, there were more fetching sessions and park strolls for me and Mom & Dad...The warm weather didn't let up at all...not a cloud in sight! *pant*

Well, to mak a long story short...I'm exhaaausted! (and if a dog can be hung-over...*burp*) It's only 8pm and I'm already dozing off...zzzzz......snore....

What's this tagging thing?

Question: Dear've been love-tagged!! Who are you tagging back?!

Debo's Answer: Yes, I've finally been love-tagged by the beautiful and scary-smart Izzi! I'm a bit unsure about how to play this tagging game, but Izzi's description of me was so flattering (xoxo) that I feel I must play...

OK, I love tag:

Mollie (302681) because she's so cute, and so popular I'm sure I don't stand a chance with her but I gotta try! Just look at how many rosettes she has! Arrroooou!

Odie (194290) because I saw a clip of him talking on the David Letterman show. Wow, I wish I can talk too! He's the coolest!

Riley (591732) because I have a soft-spot for small reddish terriers...there are a few of these cuties in my dog park :)

Nellie (407951) because she's such a sweet, brave dog!

Oh, and in case you're new to love-tagging like me, apparently you are supposed to pick the pup pals you love, write a message in your diary and "tag" them by listing their ID and the reason why you love them. Then, send them a Paw mail to tell them they've been tagged, so they can tag back or tag others...Cool, huh!
