All I can say is wow! I am a Diary of the Day pick again today!
Thank you so much Dogster for this honor!
Well, not much has happened since my last diary entry.
Not much except that my Saskatchewan Roughriders ran right over top of the Hamilton Tigercats and won the Grey Cup! Yeah, Riders!!!!! That is only the 4th time in the 100 years of the Roughrider organization that we have won the top prize. Even better was that the game was a blow out! Yes, my Riders beat the Ticats by a score of 45-23. Mom could feel sorry for the Ticats losing, but she doesn't! Ha, ha!
I have been supervising mom baking the last few days. So far shortbread cookies, a double chocolate peanut butter brownie and some butter tarts have been made. Mom was even nice and made a batch of doggie cookies for me.
I would like to wish all my American friends a very happy and safe Thanksgiving! Safe travels to all those venturing out on this holiday.

Thank you again Dogster for the honor of once again being DDP today! Wow, this is a great day. Not only am I a DDP, but we are sure the Riders will win today.
I know, I know, you are wondering who the Riders are! The Riders are the Saskatchewan Roughriders who are playing the Hamilton Tigercats for the Grey Cup up here in Canada today. The Grey Cup is the equivalent of your Super Bowl! The peeps are making lots of finger food, and I know I will get some.
Well we must go prepare for the game now and cheer on our Riders!
GO RIDERS GO!!!!

I am gonna be quasi famous pups!
Mom sent a copy of my profile picture to Global Saskatoon yesterday and she just heard that they will be using it on their 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscast and it will be the cover photo on their Facebook page tomorrow.
I think this means I should get extra treats. Don't you pups agree with me?!

Mom took me to the vet yesterday. She said I needed to have my Bordetella vaccine brought up today. Ok, mom, whatever you say. I just love going to the vet and I got hugs and kisses from everywhere. Even one of the technicians from the back came running out to give me a hug and a kiss.
While there I got weighed. I am 35.5 kilos or 78 pounds. Mom was told this was too much for me to weigh. They said, we probably can't feel his spine with this much weight on him! Haha, but they could feel my spine so there. Then they said we should be able to easily feel his ribs and we might not be able to. Haha, but again, they could feel my ribs. Mom said maybe it was just my winter coat that is adding on the pounds. They didn't buy that theory. But they stopped saying I was overweight when they could feel my spine and ribs and everyone mentioned how muscular I am. Of course mom pipes up and says that muscle weighs more than fat. Yup, mom is on my side!
Mom got asked how much she feeds me and she told them 2 cups per day and they agreed that was good. Then mom asks if poop has any calories! BOL! Yes, pups, it is a veritable smorgasbord outside my door everyday and I like to sample everything. Deer, rabbit, goose poop are all tasty. Oh and lately the neighbor has brought his cows home from the summer pasture. Pups, cow poop is awesome! Can't forget that the other neighbor has moved his horses into the back 40 and I now have access to horse poop. So just how many calories do you think my treats might have?
My river is freezing over and yesterday the ferry ceased to run for the year. Now we must wait for the river to be frozen over sufficiently before we can drive across the river on the ice road.
Well, I think I will ask mom to take me outside so I can scrounge up some more delectable specimens. Later pups!

We are getting even more snow. We don't have as much as we did last year at this time, and mom is happy about that, but we are getting more snow. When mom and I are outside these days, we are seeing lots of geese in the fields and they sure make a lot of noise and are they ever messy. Rolling in geese poop is fun. Mom says I should cut down on that activity!
Lately we have been seeing a Bald Eagle around our place and mom is trying to get a picture of it. It is such a majestic thing to see this bird take flight.
In other news, daddy and I got mom a cooking class for her birthday and she was supposed to have her class a few days ago. Unfortunately the class had to be cancelled at the last minute due to the chef, who was to teach the class, having food poisoning. The class is rescheduled for next week. To compensate for the last minute cancellation, everyone got a free cocktail.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes, I graduated from my latest Obedience Classes! The last class was fun as the peeps played musical chairs with us doggies. Our pawrents led us around an imaginary square and then when the music stopped, they either had to get us to sit/stay or down/stay, then they raced for a chair. If one of us moved, they had to get up, allowing someone to steal their chair, get us back into the sit/stay or down/stay and return to a chair. There were 9 of us doggies and mom and I were third in the first round and second in the second round. Actually I think mom could have won the second round, but she is getting older and has lost her ruthless streak, BOL!
I was always making eyes at a cute German Shepherd named Sadie, and she would get up and come towards me, her handler had to get up, get her sitting and return. Sadie's handlers were her daddy and young nonfur sis who was probably 7-8 years old. Well it was down to Sadie and me in the last round and Sadie was not sitting at all well. I was!! Did the momma race for the final chair? Nope. She waited until Sadie was finally sitting and her young owner was racing to the chair and mom made a half-hearted jog to it! BOL! Oh, well, we had fun.
The first snows have finally come and I am enjoying being outside. Digging and rolling in the snow is so much fun. Yesterday mom was out walking me and, well I have a bad habit of picking up stones, and mom could tell I had something in my mouth. She had seen me digging beside our drive, so assumed I had another stone in my mouth. She told me to "drop it", I didn't, so she does what she usually does. That means she pried open my mouth and reached in to removed whatever it was. You should have seen her scream and jump back when she opened my mouth and a live mouse ran across her glove. She tells me I am becoming quite the hunter!
This Monday is Remembrance Day in Canada and I believe Veterans Day in the U.S. Please take a moment on Monday to remember the men and women who have served, are currently serving and have given the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our past, present and future freedoms.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Thank you Dogster for letting me have one of the Dogster Diary Picks today! I guess it pays to complain about our geriatric pawrents, BOL!
The momma had a great birthday on Saturday. The weather was awesome for her day. Daddy made a roast and the fixings and her favorite peanut butter pie for dessert. I even got a treat! Yeah, me! For her birthday present daddy and me got the momma registered into a cooking class. She likes to try different recipes and secretly hopes some day to be on "Chopped"! BOL!
Yesterday the weather tanked and first we got rain, then freezing rain and now it has been snowing for several hours. Mom was gonna run errands but has decided to stay off the icy highways until warmer weather later in the week.
I am also thrilled that my pawsome pal Spunky is the Dogster Dog of the Day!!!! Yeah, Spunky, that is so awesome!!!!
Well thanks again Dogster for the honor. Please hang onto your rosettes, but if you want to leave some bones on my page that would be ok.

Thank you everyone for the scary dancing skeletons on my page. They look pawsome. I don't think they are too scary, but if I could, I would chase them! I hope that everyone had a safe and fun Halloween last night.
Now onto something even scarier than Halloween. Tomorrow is the momma's birthday. Apparently it is a big one, you know starting a new decade and all. I think this means I will have to start mashing the momma's vegetables for her. Do you think I should find her a big stick that she could use as a cane.
Any of you pups having tips for dealing with a now geriatric pawrent please pass them along!
