Arrival Story:
This handsome boy is Manny and if you look through Manny’s profile pictures and you will see this 3 year old, 50 pound, flashy fawn, has a one-of-a-kind face! Manny’s foster describes him as a compact bundle of fun! Manny does need slow introductions to other dogs, but once proper introductions have been made, he does well with both sexes and all sizes. Since there has not been an opportunity to “cat test” Manny, we would recommend he go to a cat-free home.
Manny is high-energy and strong-willed and would do best in a home with adults who are assertive. His foster Mom says, “You cannot bend the rules for Manny, even if his beautiful face begs.” Apparently, he will take advantage of you! He is very vocal and if he doesn't agree with your command he will “bark back”. Some of his vocal noises don't always consist of barks. Sometimes they are low tone growls but this is NOT to be interpreted as aggression. Manny has never shown teeth or tried to bite, even when his foster has played very rough with him.
Manny is already housebroken, crate–trained, and his indoor behavior is good, but warning…Manny cannot be trusted in the kitchen if food has been left out! (Hmmmm…wonder what he did?
