Gotcha Date: August 11th 2012 Birthday: July 25th 2010 Likes: He is addicted to cuddling and sleeping. He is in love with my wife and literally never leaves her side when she's around. He loves walking. We've only had him for a week so we are just getting to know the little guy. Pet-Peeves: Elevators Favorite Toy: Doesn't have one yet. Still feeling about the toys. Favorite Food: Everything! Favorite Walk: Uptown Minneapolis or on the Greenway on a cool day Best Tricks: No tricks yet, we are going to learn up on teaching deaf dogs tricks and signs and teach him everything he can handle Arrival Story: We saw Frosty on the Secondhand Hounds page. We remarked on how unique he looked and then went about our day. A few weeks later we went to Paws On Grand in St. Paul and my wife goes "Is that Frosty?!" She recognized him just from a picture in a sea of dogs. Once I picked him up and scratch his ears and he closed his eyes and licked my mouth I knew we had to adopt him. He has become fast friends without our other dog, Daisy, and they walk wonderfully together. Bio: Frosty was born deaf. He is a "double dapple dachshund" which basically means somebody bred him to be a certain look/pattern. Many of the double dapples are born blind or deaf or both. Once they found out Frosty was deaf, they apparently just dumped him in the woods. He was found in a barn in the country and basically found his way into our home through Secondhand Hounds. We're teaching him sign language and making his life as normal as possible. He's great! Forums Motto: Wanna cuddle? I've Been On Dogster Since:
