Arrival Story:
Leo chose me 13 years ago when I was working in a rescue centre (in the UK) his previous owners brought him into, he had little hair & looked more like a mini lion than a dog, he was called Ringo in those days but he didn't know his name or anything - im pretty sure he'd never even been on grass before either as he refused to walk on it & looked completly terrified when he was put on it! Anyway, he had been in the centre a few days and was refusing food so I began to feel very sorry for him, i took him into our feeding room and put a small bown of each food we had out for him - funnily enough he chose the cheapest!! It was then my break time so instead of taking him back into the kennels I brought him up to the staff room & from that time on whenever I had gone past his kennel he would shreek till someone let him out, then he would follow me arround for the rest of the day, I had no intention of adopting him at first untill another member of staff told me I should take him home, I thought about it for a few days & asked my parents what they thought - they said no so the next day I brought him home & renamed him Leo - partly becausehe looked a bit like a lion as he had no hair on his body (only on his head & feet!) & partly as my star sign is Leo! (he had had a very bad flea allergy with his previous owners that they hadn't bothered to treat - my vet told me his skin was probably too damaged for his hair to ever be right, but 11 years, god only knows hom many steroids, diets, suppliments etc.... & he has a coat, not the best coat ever but he has a coat!) He joined me in Ireland in September & loves it!

Bio:
I'm getting a bit old & grumpy now & I don't allways want to go for walks these days (but get taken anyway!!)

I headed off to the bridge last Friday morning, Mammy told me I could go if I wanted to & even though I knew she'd be very upset I decided it was time there was some order at the bridge so I left her with my friend Cassie & her fiance Mark, I know they'll look after her well for me & I'll be watching to make sure!

So I went to sleep in my bed & left before mammy got up in the morning, i'd not been too well the past few days & I didn't want to go back to the vet again so I popped off before I had to do that - my big regret is though I forgot to have breakfast before I left!

Whoooo-hoooo I'm 14!

it was my birthday yesterday so I was thouraghly spoilt (& so was Cass!)

Mum never thought I would get to this grand old age as I was a rescue dog & have had health problems throughout my life - mum is so very proud of me.

Mammy is soooooooo happy!
