Arrival Story:
Shortly after choosing a Saint Bernard as our ideal pet, and purchasing our own home with a double sized yard, I saw an ad for a four month old Saint Bernard puppy for sale. A family had purchased Bridgette from a local Breeder and could not keep her. I called the lady and hurried over to meet Bridgette. As soon as we saw her we had to take her home, she looked sad and under fed, and we loved her right from the start and knew that we could give her a good loving home.

Bridgette has finished pre-novice obedience. She passed every exercise and is looking forward to novice in the fall. She just loves to play and is also very popular, making friends everywhere she goes. She has an excellent temperment and is a quick learner. She will return anything she is given if you ask her to "bring it" and "drop it", she will even return a t-bone steak, so that we can take it away before she eats the bone. She will go to her bed when asked, and lifts all four paws one at time to get them wiped before coming into the house. If we forget about her she will sit at the door waiting to have her feet wiped. In her very active social life she has met children, elderly, other dogs and cats. Unfortunately not all other dogs are nice, and some little dogs are intimated by her, yet when confronted with a mean dog (or cat - see her diary), she always behaves like a perfect lady and a gentle giant.

After fighting all night through stomach torsion surgery, our beloved Bridgette Maggie passed this morning from complications. She was loyal and selfless to the end and thought only of us even though she was in great pain. She leaves us with broken hearts and wonderful cherished memories of a friend that asked for nothing and gave back so much. We love you Bridgy...

I was at the vet and he said I am all good. I had a needle in the back and hardly even noticed. He even said my teeth are nice, even though I wouldn't mind a cleaning he said to wait I while 'cause I really didn't need it.
