Arrival Story:
We had been looking for a dog because i desperatley wanted one. (when I say we I mean me looking for cute dogs then begging my parents) My dad finally gave in when our house was broken into and robbed. My dad hadone conditionit had to be a dalmatian. Not only had he grown up with dalmatians but my dad has been a firefighter for over 25 years now so it just fit. We began looking for dalmatians in shelters near us. Dottie (the shelter had her name as "Dot.E" weird right?) was the first dog we came across. they had found her as a stray when she was very young and had been with that shelter for 2 months. When i met her she could be descibed as uncontolable, unsociable, unrespondent, hyper, A.D.H.D, and incapapable of understanding her name or even keeping anattention span long enough to watch a ball hit the ground. Yet i knew as soon as i saw her she was meant to be mine. I didnt know how i was going to handle such a dog as my very first dog but i did it! Within two months the only trace the shelter had left still visible on her where the yellow stains oh her hind quarters.(now luckily gone) She slowly began barking on command and when playing and becaoming more comfortable around our family and friends and even made some doggie friends of her own. Now 3years later i couldnt ask for a better dog. She is like my little shadow and she does almost everything but goto school with me. Not only is she my best friend but she now does exactly what my dad wished and is a perfect gaurd dog too. She doesnt really have the bite but she has one ferosious bark and thats what counts right? Dottie said hi! (: she cant talk though shes about fall asleep on my lap. She wishes she were a lap dog. (dont tell her but shes way to big)
