Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

September 15th 2003

Playing and wrestling with her best dog pals, hiking, treats, walkies, patrolling the back yard for squirrels and mousies, squeaker toys, going next door to visit with Auntie Fran!

Strange people who stare into her eyes, rambunctious new big dogs, doing to get vaccinations, toenail trimming time, going to see the behaviorist about our fear of strange people, YIKES!

Favorite Toy:
Puppy "fishing pole", squeaker on end, cat toys and Sydney Poitier the Miniature Poodle

Favorite Food:
Natural Balance beef roll, semi-moist, cut into chunks. She comes running! Paul Newman chicken dry dog food and wet Iams, yummy.

Favorite Walk:
Around the lake at Sonoma Valley Regional Park in Glen Ellen, Maxwell Farms Regional Park in Sonoma, Bartholomew Park Winery trails, Jack London orchard

Best Tricks:
Hunting for mousies, burrowing under the bedcovers, hopping up onto the car seat, giving kisses

Arrival Story:
She has her own blog! See it at http://sonomadoggybloggy.blogspot. com/ Pepper came from the Los Angeles, California pound system with a batch of other small mixed-breed puppies as a rescue. They euthanize small dogs in droves down there but are hard to find here in the Bay Area! The lady who organized the rescue listed the pups in the Press Democrat. I had been looking for a 10 to 15 pound small Terrier MIX for almost a year!!! I saw her and was smitten. She sat down, tipped her little head waaaay back and lockes into eye contact with me. I was impressed and I liked her "middle of the road" temperament traits. She was a few weeks older than most of the other pups.

Pepper has a blog online at http://sonomadoggybloggy.blogspot. com where I post pix of her Pooch Posse here in Sonoma Valley. It's a great place to be a dog!! We hope Pepper lives to be 1,000 years old, she's not replacable. What a character. She is 12 pounds and is around ten inches tall at the shoulder. Perfect both for cuddling and for getting deep into a woodpile.

Pep's comfort and fun is my #1 priority. She's only unhappy when we are at the vet - otherwise she is totally jazzed! I have a circle of dog pals for her to mingle with, see

and I feel that my job as her human is to totally provide for her happiness!! I'm completely CoDogPendant!!
