Arrival Story:
My daughter was about 27 and single with no children. She had a friend that had a long haired Chihuahua that she fell in love with. She went to the same breeders and purchased Gizmo out of the next litter that was by the same Sire and Dame. They were small time breeders with just a couple females and males, which were their indoor pets. No Puppy Mill! She brought her home way earlier than she should have because she was just too tiny to be away from her Mommy. I took care of her while my daughter worked and Gizmo bonded with me. When she was older my daughter would take her to work, which was at a salon. She was the Salon Mascot and everyone loved her. She's very socialized and loves everyone. But she became very depressed when she wasn't with me and wouldn't eat or drink. She would just lay in her bed looking sad. Meanwhile my daughter got married and had a child and Gizmo got so jealous of the new baby that she started peeing in the house and was still depressed and would barely eat unless she was at my house. She only weighted 2.5 lb and couldn't afford to lose weight, but she was. Finally my daughter couldn't stand seeing her miserable and after having her for nearly 4 years, she gave her to me. I had already gone out and got a long haired Chihuahua of my own, whom I love as much as Gizmo, her name is Jewel. My dogs are somewhat celebrities in the town we live in, because they are so cute. We get stopped everywhere we go so people can see them and pet them. My husband is as in love with them as I am. They are very lucky girls, and so are we.
