Arrival Story:
I adopted Shadow from Greyhound Friends for Life rescue group. Well, actually, I think she picked me. She was extemely shy and timid for the first few months. She didn't know what to do with herself in a home, how to play like a dog, etc. Now she is quite comfortable and understands that she is not just bred to be an athlete, but she can be a "real" dog now!
Bio:
Shadow came to the greyhound rescue group from a vet in Colorado. I don't know where she actually raced or for how long. She had a tick-borne disease when I got her but that has been successfully remedied by the local vet.
** Shadow died on October 4th, 2007 from bone cancer. She will be missed dearly.**
