Diary of a Little Brown Dog...soon to be Big Brown Dog

new housemate

So, i have a new pup at home for some reason....

His name is Shadow and he isnt a retriever like me and Goldie are. He has big pointy ears and is different colors, instead of one solid color. He isnt big into fetching and man does he bark! But he is fun, he loves to wrestle and play bitey-face and howl at the moon. My mom says he is a jer-mon shep-something or other. I dont know how long he is staying yet, but i hope it's for a while.

Grad-ooo-ated!

I graduated from Doggy School! My mom and dad are so proud of my and my sister! We graduated Monday night. I got 4th place (135 out of 150 points, not bad huh?) and my sister Goldie got 142 of 150 points, she got 2nd place. Some really smart poodle beat her by one point. Sis was disappointed but mom and dad told her that we did above and beyond what they expected and that they were really proud of us. We got a present.... a baby pool!!!!!!!!!!! I love splashing around in it. My sister prefers to lay down in it but I like the excitement of water in face. What a rush!

surgery...

Today I had surgery. Mom called it a noo-ter surgery. All I know is that when I left the house, mom gave me a big hug, and when I woke up, I was really sore down there and something looked a little different....

I got home and mom immediately let me sleep for a while on her bed and gave me a drink of water. She said to rest so I could play tomorrow. I kept having weird dreams that I was losing something and couldnt find it but I woke up and realized i was ok.
i really like how mom and dad are acting. they are giving me extra hugs and extra kisses and snuggling up alot more. i guess they were worried about the noo-ter, whatever that is.
