Favorite Toy: My sock monkey I picked out at the pet store. Favorite Food: Any kind of doggie treats, and Ice cubes. Favorite Walk: Anywhere with mom and dad. Best Tricks: Sit, down, heal, and Stay. Arrival Story: I was found by my Mom and Dad's co-workers niece behind a quicky store in a cardboard box, by the dumpster with my brother. Bio: Here is my story so far of my little life:
After hearing about me my Mom and Dad offered to take me in and find me a new home. They took me home February 16, 2005 and on the way home we stopped into the vets office for a quick check up because I was skin in bones 6.5 lbs and my belly was so big. I ended up having coccidia, and round worms (I know how gross). So Mom and Dad took me home and their plan was to keep me for a month to make sure I was healthy and then find me a new home. After 8 days, I started showing signs of Parvo-Loss of appetite, Lethargic, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. Mom and Dad took me in to the vet February 24, 2005 and I tested Positive for Parvo. My mom and dad made the desision to go ahead with the treatment and the vet gave me a 50/50 chance. They put me on IV's and a lot of medicine. After a couple of day I started showing signs of improvement and they thought I was going to make it through. My mom and dad would call on me every day to see how I was doing and finally on a Saturday they came in and saw me. I was so happy to see them my tails was wagging 100 mph. I did drop back down to 6.1 lbs and I was so very cold so mom and dad couldn't see me that long, I had to go back under my heat lamp. Then as the days went on I kept showing improvement and finally got to go home on March 2, 2005. My mom and dad have been monitoring me very close and I'm doing great. We went to the vet Saturday the 5th to see the girls and they weighted me I came in at 7.0 lbs. I'm doing great and so glad my mom and dad helped me from the beginning and now till the end of time. Mom and Dad took me the vet’s office Saturday May 7, 2005. Mom and Dad could not believe their eyes when the scale read 30lbs. I'm doing great and growing like crazy.
I’ve been doing great the last couple of months. I have been loving the weather lately in Michigan. I’m able to go outside with all my sisters, and brothers and just romp around outside.
I’m finally updated on all my shots now (I was behind due to the Parvo) and up to 25+ pounds. The girls at the vet office can’t believe how big I’m getting, they remember me as a small little 6-pound angle and boy do I have them fooled. My mom and dad started me in my first obedience class last week and I have so much fun after class because I get to play with all the other dogs at the end of class. I get a little rough sometime so mom corrects me and puts me in a time out. Some times I get embarrassed and just lay in mom lap with my head down, and other times I squirm until mom let me go back and play.
Well gotta go I will keep updates as I keep growing.
