Arrival Story:
My grandma & mom rescued some poodles from a puppy mill (who also raised malteses). One of the females was pregnant, supposedly with purebred poodles. When the pups were born they were clearly half maltese, as you can see from the straight hair. When they were about 7 weeks old the whole litter became violently ill, vomiting and diarrhea. My grandma rushed them to the vet who suspected parvo. But the test came back negative and he sent us home with them saying there was nothing else he could do. I stayed up for almost 48hours straight. Feeding them soft puppy chow and oatmeal through a syringe and giving them water every 10 minutes to keep them hydrated. Close to the end of 48hours they all began passing some substance in their stool. Which we later realized was foam backing from a small rug my grandmother had in her kitchen. The blockage passed and the puppies were fine. As a reward my grandma let me have Monyah who she knew I'd fallen in love with.
