Little brother

I'm not the baby in the family anymore. My family got me a puppy of my very own and at first he was lots of fun but now I want them to send him back. I have my feelings hurt cause they hold him and talk sweet to him and that should be me. Well, I guess to be fair they are giving me lots of attention too. I pretend I don't like him and don't want to play but everytime nobody's looking, I go play with Rio and we have the bestest time. He's a nice little guy and you should see us play chase - my favorite game now. I guess we should keep him cause I would sure miss him. In fact, he had to have surgery last week and was gone all day. I worried and when he came home I sniffed him everywhere and when he didn't feel like playing, I just watched him. Yeah, I guess we'll keep him. He's pretty cool!

Happy New Year!

It was so nice to have my diary picked for diary of the day - thank you Dogster! I'm still just a puppy and won't have my first birthday till next month, so it was a real surprise.

I had such a nice Christmas, my first. Mostly, it was great cause I have my new family and love them so much. They love me lots too and they're so glad I'm part of the family now.

My brother, Willie, doesn't play with me enough and I try my best to get him to play. I don't know if he doesn't like me or just doesn't feel good. He has been sick lately so maybe that's why. I think he likes me - I mean, what's not to like? Just cause I pull his tail sometimes or try to bite his leg or chase him around, that's no reason not to like me. I'm lovable and cute and cuddly ;)

Anyway, we had a great Christmas. I didn't eat any tree ornaments, didn't chew any cords, didn't open any packages that weren't mine and I really liked getting new toys. Lately, I have been carrying off shoes that belong to my family and playing with them, so Santa got me my very own pair of sneakers. The only thing is, they don't smell the same and aren't as big, so I don't play with them as much.

Well, I hope everyone else has a really great 2013 - my family says that's a fun time to celebrate but they're hoping I don't get scared by the fireworks some people will shoot off. Happy New Year everybody!!!

Buddy's 1st Christmas

This is my first Christmas cause I'm not a year old yet and I have waited and waited and I'm tired of waitin. I heard Santa is gonna come give me presents but I'd rather just open the ones we already got under our trees. I especially like playin with bows and ribbons and think it would be fun to unwrap the presents under our tree. My big brother, Willie, has been sick for a few days and I don't have nobody to play with so I need my presents from Santa. I been a real good boy. Merry Christmas to everybody!!!

Sprinklers

Hi, I just got my family and home yesterday, July 4th. Had to fly all the way here from Louisville, Kentucky and it was a long day. I was the bestest baby on the plane and everbody liked me.

So my family's been telling me I have to go "outside" and "potty" and then they walk around and keep telling me that when I'm out there in the nice new yard. I just wish they'd let me play and have fun out there. I got my wish when it started raining. Well, mom says it wasn't rain. It was something called "sprinklers". Hmmph. Anyway, I had the bestest time running and playing in the sprinklers and even went potty there. Yipee! It felt good to be all wet cause it's hot here and it's summer.

Now comes the bad part. They brought me inside and I had to get blow dried, yuck. Ah well, those sprinklers go off every day in the summer and I will get to play again.
