Bubbles

Sorry that there haven't been any diary entries recently.... I've been very busy.

But anyway, Chewi has been very good. He was doing something weird this afternoon though. I was filling his water bowl up and he began sticking his nose deep into the water and then blowing bubbles in it. It was so cute and when the bubbles came up he took his nose out and looked at it like "What...?" and repeated. He's so funny LOL.

Naughty Puppy

I went to the shops today, & left Chewi behind with the rest of my family - leaving the door to my bedroom open.....

Big mistake.

On my bed was a really good book, brand new, that I was reading & REALLY enjoying. I return home to find it, shredded, on my bed, with dog slobber soaking the now destroyed front cover.

He's a naughty puppy. Sigh.

I've decided I'll try to make a dairy entry everyday.

So, there hasn't been much going on today.... But Chewbacca has fallen asleep on my bed, right next to me.

Raw Feeding

I have been contemplating raw feeding Chewi for quite a while now. I've always wanted to feed my future dog a Prey Model Raw Diet, & now that I've got a puppy of my own, I am quite excited about it. I've never actually doubted the Raw Diet, & have research it since mid 2011 last year.

So, I've been readying myself to tell my mum what I've decided. I've been holding off for a few days because other times when I talk about the Raw Diet with her, the conversation is really short &.... awkward. But finally, today, I did it. It was short, it was awkward, & all she said was "So you want to feed Chewi a Raw Diet?", but at least I got the message across....

I'm hoping for her approval at least. Sigh.

A Quick Review of Chewi's Past

Chewi is my 9 month old puppy. We're not sure exactly of his breed but he is something like a Cattle Dog/Staffy/X or something.

Anyway, Chewi was originally adopted from an animal refuge by my brother at 10 weeks old on the 29th of December, 2011. Apparently, he had been dumped along with the rest of his litter in a box at a very young age. Since then, my brother has decided to move away to another state & is unable to take Chewi as it would be very expensive & difficult to find an apartment that allowed dogs, so unfortunately, Chewi has to stay behind. But, I've now taken the responsibility of training/caring/exercising/etc. since he already knows me, & I think it would be a terrible loss for both my family & Chewi himself if he was given away to another home.
