Bio:
"Hi my name is Duke. I’m 1.5 – 2 years old and am probably one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet. As you can see from my picture, I am not a big boy at all. In fact, when some people meet me, they think I am still a puppy. I don’t have any of those puppy habits though– like jumping on people or having accidents in the house – I’m past all of that stuff. The vet told my mom that I probably would be a smaller boy. The nice people at LBR saved me from the big dirt nap. My mom tells me that I owe these two ladies named Dana and Christina some big time kisses for helping me. I hope I get to see you two again so I can thank you a little more. I don’t remember much before I hit the LBR lottery and ended up in foster care. In my previous life, I lived outside and was never given something called heartworm pills. My mom tells me that they are super important. Well, they must be because since I wasn’t given them, I ended up with something called heartworms. Don’t worry though – I am getting ready to go in for treatment to get rid of them then I’ll be as good as new. Right now, I have a boxer brother and sister that I live with and then they have these two cats. Well, I’m still waiting to meet those two. My foster mom keeps them away from me because she heard me talking in my sleep about cats – the other white meat! You may be asking, what I am looking for in my new family. I am looking for someone that will love me as much as I will love them. I like to be as close as I can to my family. I’m looking for someone that doesn’t have to put me in a crate much. I really don’t like the crate. I just love being out with my family. I do like having a fur brother or sister but am fine on my own too. Skin kids are ok too. I am also an excellent passenger in the car and love walks too – so if you want a buddy to travel with you – I’m your guy. "
