Arrival Story:
Iv always been a HUGE animal and in paticular dog lover. Growing up my family and I always lived in apartments where we couldnt have dogs, though my mother loved dogs, and would have loved us too. Im 23 now, and my long time boyfriend and decided to get a puppy after the rules changed at our townhome complex to allow dogs. I did alot of research into breeds, and ended up searching for a pup for about 2 months straight, day in and day out. We found Zongo and his litter of 7 brothers and sisters through A Puppys Voice out of Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado. They are an AMAZING rescue, saving dogs, puppies, and pregnant mothers from high kill shelters around the US. Zongos litter came from a shelter in New Mexico with over 400 dogs! It was hard to pick on adoption event day. There were about 50 8 week old or so puppies to choose from. Even Zongos litter was hard to pick from because all 8 of them looked like little brown and tan clones. Luckily we ended up with our little spitfire Zongo, who was named after the Grateful Dead song "Uncle Johns Band". The part that says "How does the song go" is where Zongo came from:).
