I love shopping!

Wow, what an exciting week for me! Friday (June 29) it was so hot here and the fans were just blowing out hot air so Mommy & Daddy decided to take us on a trip to Colorado. Which isn't exactly a "journey"---we live in the "Four Corners" (Utah, Colorado, New Mexico & Arizona) area so can go up to Colorado in about an hour. We went to Cortez and then up to Delores, Colorado which is Mommy's favorite place. We went to the river and played on the rocks....wow, a lot of people rafting and swimming! I loved it!!! Be sure and take a look at the photos of our trip.

Then yesterday....I went shopping!!! Yipee!!! Daddy had to go to a store in Farmington to buy a new pump for our not-working "swamp cooler" and so while he was shopping, Mommy walked me down to the BIG pet store!!! Well, if I do say so myself.....I was a "hit" there!! So many kids came over to pet me and even the clerks!! I LOVE kids!! I even got treats from one clerk! I got to pick out what I wanted....as soon as I saw that rope pull toy, I headed for it. I used to have one like it!! It wasn't the same one (much to my disappointment) but Mommy bought it....a new one for me!! I only wish that I could get Kodie, Holly & Nico to play with me. But they don't like to play like I do!! But Mommy plays pretty good for a human! That night I was tired---two days of adventure! Daddy got the swamp cooler working so we were cool last night!!

What a week!!!

Hi, everyone!

I thought that I would give you an update on my past week since coming back home to Mommy & Daddy. What a great week---I am now known as "Happy Jack"!
I live in the house and have a fenced in yard when I....errr, HAVE to go out. But Mommy goes out with me, Kodie, Holly & Nico. She doesn't want anything to happen to us! Every evening Mommy & Daddy take me and Kodie for a walk! It is very hot here now so Holly & Nico stay home but they will be going when it gets less hot and windy. Boy, one night only Mommy & I started out for a walk and all of a sudden there was a "wall of sand" coming at us! So we ran home and by that time the wind was blowing so hard that Mommy couldn't get the door open! Thankfully, Daddy was looking out the window for us and opened the door!!! Whew! I even got to go out for a ride in the car.... I have missed walks, rides, and being inside so much!! Mommy is SPOILING me.....and I love it!! As I said before....just call me "Happy Jack"!!

I am back!!!!

Do any of you remember me out there in Dogsterland? Mommy wrote my story but I thought that I should tell you my perspective.

I don't want to think about the past year.....but I was not happy. I couldn't understand why I was given away!! I know that I was naughty at times....but I had never been loved until Mommy & Daddy took me in back in October 2010. I had never been taught anything. But I loved my new home and my siblings, Kodie, Holly, Nico and especially Morgan. Then one day I was given to a new home....an elderly man. Let's just say that I missed my old home!!! I thought about them every day.....when my owner was in the hospital, Mommy & Daddy came up and fed and watered me. Mommy cried and I tried to go back with them!! But then a few weeks ago I ran away.....I was so lost but I knew that I had to go back to my old home.

I was seven miles away from them but it seemed longer as I wandered in search of them. Then Friday morning (June 1) I saw them!!! They were pulling out in their car!! Mommy stopped and jumped out of the car and screamed, "Jack!!" I RAN to her as fast as I could!!! And jumped right in the open car door!! They immediately turned around and took me HOME!!! I was never so happy! The only sad part was that Morgan was no longer there....but I already knew that. I felt his presence with me as I made my way back home....my little white guardian angel leading me!!

I never adjusted to my other home....and my former "owner" told Mommy to keep me. As if she would give me up!!! I am in my forever home now.....I am the happiest dog on earth tonight. When I think about those seven long miles....what if I had missed the way....what if I had been hit by a car.....but hey, I told you about my guardian angel!!!! Thanks, Morgan!!!

Please write and become my pal again!! Hopefully I will get some new ones!! Love you all!
