He was to be my mom's dog. She wanted a "small" dog to cuddle, we had a aloof Rottie mix at the time. But I knew I'd be the primary care giver, so I had a say in it too. I was 19 at the time (yes I still lived at home).
Anyhow a local-ish all breed rescue was having an event so we packed up the family,( Mom, Dad, Me, & the Rottie) and went insearch of an older (3 or 4 years old), short coated, female, friendly dog....then we met Cody, and all that went out the window. We came home with and 8 month old, Long coated, male dog...the only part that we got was friendly.
Bio:
12 years later he lives with me, my folks are retired in florida and were afraid of him becoming gator bait.
His health is declining a bit but not his spirit. He has heart disease, his liver is not functioning to great & he has lost most of his hearing. He is still a happy active dog, who still goes regularly to obedience school, on walks and I am getting him a trailer so he can go with us on bike rides
9/2/06 Cody passed away this afternoon after a brief battle with an unknown illness. But he was at home with his family who loved him dearly.
