Arrival Story: Boris' parents belong to some friends of mine. His mother is an APBT and his father's breed is unknown, though we suspect he has lab and chow blood along with other things we can only guess from behaviors. His parents were not bred intentionally, but it happened one day and a litter of 7 gorgeous puppies were born in the back of a van. Of course, they couldn't be kept, so they were given away. Boris is 1 out of 4 that survived. Unfortunately, the puppies were given away too early (only one month after birth) and a few of his brothers and sisters suffered fates they did not deserve, but I am extremely grateful to have taken the opportunity to raise him and save a life that may not have made it otherwise.
Bio: Boris has separation anxiety when he is left alone any where but at home. I'm not sure if his anxiety stems from being taken from his mother too soon (certain circumstances out of my control) or if it's just the way he is. He is a generally well-behaved dog, but sometimes feels uncomfortable around grown men.
He is fine walking now, we have resolved the pulling issue. Sometimes he still gets excited when we travel to new places (or if he knows we are going to the park) and wants to move faster than I do, but it is NOTHING compared to what he was doing.
He has unique, gorgeous, rust/black/white brindle markings that are unmistakeable to me and makes him look like a tiger (RAWR!) to everyone else.
He is a big, silly, loving, loyal beast and I couldn't ask for anything more even with the problem he comes with.
P.S. - I was torn between choosing "Medium" or "Large" for his size because he's not a "large" dog, he's just below 60lbs -- just so you know.
