Haven't Written in a While!

Woah I have been so busy enjoying summer I have forgotten to write any diary entrys! Today I am 10 months old and getting big! Daddy weighed me the other day and I am up to 45 lbs! I sure do love to eat and it helps me grow really big! But Mommy keeps telling me that she is only going to buy me puppy food one more time.... I wonder if that means instead I will get to eat those cupcakes that are on the counter?!?! I really hope so!

Mommy and Daddy have been taking me on lots of walks lately.... For a while I refused to go too far from home without both of them. I was worried I would miss something exciting! But now we all go together for family walks!

Been busy!

Wow I have not written in a while but there has been so much going on I just haven't had time! Daddy bought me a puppy pool! At first I just thought it was a really really big frisbee kind of toy, but then Mommy and Daddy filled it with water! From the hose! It is so much fun splashing around and digging in the water. Then when I get tired of the pool I go and dig a nice hole, which Mommy and Daddy don't seem to like as much. But they always then let me play with the hose, so they can't be too upset!

Also I have made two new friends! A friend of Daddy has brought over his two dogs twice in the last week or so. Elway is about a year older tham me but he is still little and Max is just a baby, a 9 week old Rottie. Mommy keeps telling me he is going to get really big, but for now I am the big one! Neither of them seem to be able to keep up with me, so I just play with one at a time and then when that one gets tired I move on to the other one. Mommy and Daddy have started talking about getting me a little brother or sister puppy to play with which would be cool!

Ok thats it for now, I think Mommy will let me play in the pool again this afternoon so I have to go rest up!

Mommy and Me

So Daddy is away this weekend, which means it's just me and Mommy! I have been having a great time, except of course that Mommy doesn't give me human food like Daddy does. I am trying to keep making Mommy laugh, just like Daddy does. So this morning when Mommy was taking a shower, I decided to jump in with her! I don't know why Mommy goes in there everyday, the water in thrown down on you, like it's raining but harder! Mommy doesn't even like going out in the rain! And the water tasted funny, Mommy said thats from the shampoo?!? I like the water, but not quite a fan on these showers...hmmm....

Complain Time

I know Mommy and Daddy love me, and I love when they feed me and rub my belly but sometimes they really don't let me have fun! One of my favorite ways to spend the afternoon is chomping down on a nice rock or bug stick. Yet everytime I find a good one Mommy or Daddy come over and take it away from me. At first I thought they just liked to chase me around, but when they get it they throw it away. Ugh... they just don't want me to have fun.

On another note I got to play with my friend Ralph yesterday. He just turned one year old, and is 100 pounds! He's a big guy but he lets me climb all over him. I jump on his back and he just lays down, but we had a blast! Hopefully Mommy lets me play with him again soon.

Diary of the Day!!!

I am so amazed to be named the Diary of the Day!! Thank you to all my doggie friends! While this is exciting, I have to admit there is another thing in my world almost as exciting... air conditioning! It has been really hot, and even I don't feel like going for walks lately, but Daddy put this big box in the window and when it turns on it blows COLD air out! It feels so good to stand in front of it, like riding in the car without leaving the living room! Mommy and Daddy have also been putting ice cubes in my water bowl! I LOVE ice cubes! So this hot weather does have its perks I guess....

Now I am off to find something to write about in my mext diary... I need to live up to this Diary of the Day title!!!

Rainy Days

This has been a pretty boring week! Water keeps coming down from the sky, and Mommy never wants to go on walks when that happens. And when I dig in the dirt I have to get my paws wiped. So I have been making my own fun inside! Mommy and Daddy love to chase me when I get the newspapers (They keep leaving it higher on the table which makes it harder to get, but I manage) and I was able to rip the eye off of my new ladybug toy.
I also have heard talk about a bath. I have only had one bath before, and I didn't really like it. The wet part isn't bad, and Mommy and Daddy rub me all over with this stuff that smells like Daddys breakfast, they call it oatmeal, but then they rub me down with towels, and don't even let me eat them!! Huff...
Think it is time for a nap... then dinner!!!

Woof Walk

Yesterday Mommy and I went on our towns annual Woof Walk. We showed up and there were dogs everywhere!! Mommy got a bandana for me, but when I tried to eat it she took it away. Then we went on a looonnnnggg walk. We were in a group with 5 other dogs, none of which seemed to be as friendly as me. It was HOT and I was tired but Mommy let me drink from her water bottle and we made it. When we got back to the start there was the police K9 demonstration. Overall it was a fun time and I slept the rest of the afternoon away!

Uncle Michael came over later yesterday for dinner. He always buys the best toys! This time he brought be a ladybug squeaker!! So far I haven't broken it.

Today is rainy, so Mommy won't take me on a walk but I can find my own fun. There is a huge puddle of rain water at the end of the driveway and I splashed around like crazy!! Of course Mommy was not as excited as I was but it was worth being rubbed down with a towel! I think I am headed for another nap now, write again soon!

Hello World!

Iam so excited to have found Dogster! Now Mommy and I can work on the computer together! This just topped off a really great day yesterday. Mommy started working in the garden, but must have forgotten to let me in. Not to worry Mommy! I can jump right over that little fence! I got to run laps through the garden, and help Mommy dig holes. I really am a great helper. Oh, and I found an amazing way to get water OUTSIDE! There is a little thing sticking out of the wall, and when Mommy turns it, water comes shooting out! So of course I knocked my water bowl over, like, 5 times, just so Mommy could fill it up again! Then Daddy came home, and we got to play outside again with the football! My mouth is now big enough to really hold on to it. And of course Mommy and I worked on out Dogster profile. Not too excited that she listed all of my nickname, being called Bacon Butt is kinda embarrassing! I'm really looking forward to finding some pals and learning all things doggy!
