Favorite Walk: Down the wooded bike path at the end of our road Best Tricks: Sit, come, rolling a ball back and forth to mommy, high-five Arrival Story: I've had dogs all my life and in summer 2011 I'd lost a 15-year-old purebred Beagle to kidney failure. Was waiting for the right moment to adopt another dog, so much was going on in my life that I didn't get a chance until this Spring (2012). I adopted Abby as a rescue when she was about 5 months old. She was part of a litter of 7 pups and they were all given names of lucky items. Her nickname was Wishbone. I wanted to keep the name, but they told me she didn't know it so we could name her whatever we wished. She's a sweetheart. A real ball of energy who loves to go on long walks and hunt down birds, squirrels and rabbits. She also loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. Bio: As to her mix, the rescue group thought she was Beagle and Treeing Walker Coonhound. A few folks thought she had Foxhound in her as well. DNA test showed Treeing Walker Coonhound, Beagle, and Greyhound (!). She has TWCH and Beagle physical and behavioral traits. Not sure about the Greyhound - she does run fast but Treeing Walkers are fast anyway. Hm. No matter what, she's as sweet as they come. I can't believe it, 1 year ago today I found a loving home with my mommy. All my brothers and sisters had been adopted already and I was lonely. I loved my foster family, but I knew it wouldn't be forever. Mommy and her family and I have had so much joy, love and happiness this past year. Here's hoping for many, many more!!
Hi everyone, it's been so long since I posted an entry. How are you all doing? I can't believe it's almost Superbowl Sunday. I'm actually looking forward to watching the Puppy Bowl with Mommy that day instead. And I'm ecstatic because I just learned that my main breed, the Treeing Walker Coonhound, is going to be represented in this year's Westminster Dog Show! *howls excitedly* I'll also be cheering on the Beagle, the other part of my heritage, and of course my cousin the American Foxhound.

Hey there all my wonderful furiends, I hope those of you who celebrate Christmas had a good one and got all you wished for! I got some nice new toys and bones, so I'm happy! I've been a busy doggie - for a week mommy was sick with bronchitis and pretty miserable, so I kept her company and tried to cheer her up.
I can't believe this year is almost over. Wishing you all nothing but the best in 2013!
