DAY 258, Wednesday, 11/21/12

My new buddy Dennis and I had a great time last night. We curled up together in front of the fireplace. He left for Las Vegas this morning. I miss him already, but I’m hoping that he’ll come back again soon—or maybe I’ll get to go visit him in Las Vegas. That would be nice too.

And speaking of traveling, Bob came home today with one of those Styrofoam coolers. Hmmm. Sounds like maybe a trip coming up, huh?

DAY 257, Tuesday, 11/20/12

A friend of Tony’s (Denny) came to visit today. He’s moving from Atlanta to Las Vegas and is spending the night here. He and I hit it off immediately. He’s an excellent judge of character.

DAY 256, Monday, 11/19/12

Today was the day for my flea pill. I only take it once a month. Bob, on the other hand, takes a whole handful of pills every day. Boy, he must really have a problem with fleas.

DAY 255, Sunday, 11/18/12

Bob is such a wuss. Every morning when we go out for our first walk, Bob piles on about 37 layers of clothing, including his thick winter coat that makes him look like the Michelin Man. One coat is plenty for me. What’s he gonna do when it gets REALLY cold here?

DAY 254, Saturday, 11/17/12

There have got to be crickets here somewhere under this frozen ground. I just know if I keep sniffing and digging, I’m bound to turn up some eventually.

DAY 253, Friday, 11/16/12

I went to the beauty shop today and got cleaned up and fluffed up. In my Pawgress Report Card, the groomer wrote, “Biscuit did very well today. He is a sweet boy.” Now, that’s one perceptive groomer. I hope Bob gave her a big tip.

DAY 252, Thursday, 11/15/12

Tony dropped a hot chili pepper on the kitchen floor tonight, and I snatched it up before he could stop me. Bob chased me around the living room and back to the kitchen, where Tony caught me and made me drop the pepper. I didn’t want to drop it, but Tony says it’s a good thing I did because they might have had to take me back to the vet otherwise. Well, I just hope Tony learned his lesson and won’t be such a klutz in the future.

DAY 251, Wednesday, 11/14/12

To all of you who have been asking if Bob is all right after his fall yesterday, yeah, he’ll live. He’s fragile, but he’s not THAT fragile.

DAY 250, Tuesday, 11/13/12

Bob and I invented a new game today—or so I thought. You see, we were walking across the lawn when Bob started rolling around on the ground. It looked like fun to me, so I just ran around him in circles. Later, I found out that he had stepped into a hole and tripped. Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted—for me, anyway.

DAY 249, Monday, 11/12/12

Tony was home today. No, he wasn’t sick. Apparently, today was a holiday to honor the nation’s veterans. I have lots of cousins and ancestors who have served in the military too.

I had soupy poopy again today, and Bob is apparently concerned that I might make a mess in the apartment tonight, so he has decided to sleep downstairs on the couch just in case I have to go outside. I hope he doesn’t keep me awake with his cacophonous snoring.
