Arrival Story:
The boyfriend called and said there was a starving Pittbull dog at his store, he said she was hairless - mange. Already had several things going on that day, but I made the requested calls to Animal Control, for them to retrieve the dog - I knew that meant certain death but what else was I to do? When all my errands had been tended to the boyfriend contacted me again saying no one had came for the dog yet, would I could I do something for this dog? I went to the pet store first and bought some food, treats, toys, and a bottle of shampoo and to my boyfriend's store I did go. Upon walking in the bay door and seeing her for the first time I told him that she wasn't a Pitt, that she was in fact a Boxer, who looked like she had some direct English Bulldog in her heritage too. After her bath and another feeding she was ready for the trip to the shelter, I looked at my boyfriend and a single tear rolled down my cheek, she would be killed (I don't sugar coat euthanization), I knew this to be a fact - too many dogs needing homes and this one was sick - real bad sick. The tear didn't go unnoticed at all, not by my boyfriend or his employees that were near by, he told me very exasperatedly to load the dog up and take her home. I did. She barely weighed 40 lbs that day, an employee of mine took her to GCACS for me, Paca was/is heartworm +, she did have demodectic mange, several other internal parasites, fleas, and severe infection of the skin from her digging the mange. Paca has been through at least 5 rounds of antibiotics/ivermectin treatments to destroy parasites. Spayed and UTD on shots, she does still have adult heartworms - hasn't been checked since Winter 2011. Paca has some bully dog issues, probably due to stressful situations in her past (before us), she absolutely loves smaller non aggressive dogs and puppies of all heritage. **She would be excellent in the home of teenage kids or older, she just gets too excited to be around little children. She wouldn't intentionally hurt them but to be on the safe side I would have her under leash/harness around any young children and never during free time. ********************************** ********************************* Paca comes with her own bowls, collar, leash, harness, jewelry, a week's supply of food and continued training advise (if needed). There isn't an adoption fee for Paca, she is a Gargoyle's Rescue, check it out on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gar goyles/122419814518689

Bio:
She was spayed by Speak for Animals in Greenville, SC as a Pitt bull mix dog. The Boxer is combination of the Bullenbeisser and English Bulldog, the Bullenbeisser is the sole breeding stock for American Pitt bull Terrier, so in fact if she has Boxer she ultimately has Pitt bloodlines.
