He loves to cuddle!
He hates it when we leave, or even say we are going to leave!
He loves his Nylabone!
To the lake near our house to go look at the water.
Back, Sit, Stay, Up, Crawl
We adopted Kohl from the Arlington Animal Services shelter in Arlington Texas. He was on the euthanasia list for the next day, and it seemed very unlikely that he would be adopted because 1. he was a pit bull, and 2. he was heartworm positive.
We adopted him over the phone and wonderful volunteers took him to be boarded from his "kill date" until I could pick him up, as I live 3 hours away.
Since we have gotten Kohl, he has been a wonderful blessing to our house. He has learned to go to the bathroom outside, and sleeps in our bed every night.
Once his heartworms are treated, we are going to enroll him in formal training. Right now, he is learning so much at home, and he amazes me with his intelligence. Soon, he will start taking advanced classes and it is my hope to train him as a therapy dog.
Kohl is not without his issues which we are working on slowly but surely. He is currently going on an alternative heartworm treatment because he was a severe symptomatic case of heartworms and my holistic vet decided this was the best course of treatment.
He also has severe separation anxiety, but we are unsure if this is from a traumatic event or just how he is. We are working and learning with him every day!
