Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Gotcha Date: September 15th 2009
 Birthday: July 25th 2009
Likes: Me, my mom, her cats, treats, the park & accessorizing

Pet-Peeves: She hates her seat belt; and don't mess w/ her gear, collar, tags, etc!

Favorite Toy: Her Bunny

Favorite Food: Yours, mine or what I cook just for her

Favorite Walk: Schiller Park where her friends are

Best Tricks: Hopping and bare-ass snow sledding

Arrival Story: Rejected by her birth mother, Bunny was very malnourished when she was rescued from her litter and bottle fed for nearly two months. A runt when I adopted her, I was told she suffered from a heart murmur and a harelip, if nothing else and would likely die soon. Bunny survived and is now 47lbs of pure muscle. She loves all people and animals, large and small. In the park across from our house, she throws down with the big dogs; but crouches low, butt in the air, wagging her tail in polite salutation to small dogs and children. She considers protecting me her job, even when I’m in the bathroom, but she spoons her buddy, my cat Bibi every night.

Bio: Bunny earned her name at birth, as she was born with a harelip;) which makes her appear as if she's always smiling, and she is! Always excited, she also hops on her hind legs a lot.

This law assigns responsibility where it should be, with pet handlers... It's bunny;) When I adopted her, we lived in a Gay Street condo downtown, one block from the state house. We met many influential officials during our daily travels and she became famous. Now near Schiller park, people still recognize her, though they have no idea who I am.

A Chihuahua recently tried to mate with Bunny. She was polite about it, if not confused about what the confident little guy was up to. Too bad it wouldn't work out b/c who doesn't wanna see a Chia-Pit or Mini-Bun in the mix?

Considering the stigma that plagues Pit Bulls, I'm surprised most people I meet accept bunny without hesitation. Some still treat me like I'm raising a lion, an animal that will inevitably grow into its nature & turn... They are, in fact, a prestigious breed from the early 20th century. Known as Bull-and-Terrier, Half & Half or Pit dogs, The AKC describes Staffordshire Terriers as intelligent, obedient, agile trackers. Loyal & courageous, they are people oriented dogs who thrive as part of a family, given a job to do. Not to substitute one stigma for another, healthy fear of strange dogs is smart, but Chihuahuas are more inherently vicious than this breed.
