Best Tricks:
Kia knows the basics: Sit, Speak, Shake, Roll Over. I'd say her best trick is balancing a treat on her nose and she's now learning to "Sit Pretty".

Arrival Story:
Kia was adopted by me from the Capitol Area Humane Society in Lansing, MI. She was a bit shy at first, having been there for nearly 2 months, but quickly warmed up. She's been a great companion even if she is a bit headstrong at times. :)

A few days after bringing her home, Kia was acting strange around me. While napping, she started to sniff and nose gently at the right side of my abdomen. I told the doctor and curious, he decided to do a laproscopy. They found my abdomen covered with endometrium tissue and it had compromised my appendix. It and the tissue were promptly removed. I have indeed found my soul mate of the animal world. I love to involve Kia in everything. She doesn't like car rides as much as she used too. In June of 2003, during her annual checkup she received ProHeart6. 15 minutes later she had a Grand Mal seizure and spent 3 days at MSU's emergancy clinic. She was on IV's and needed a blood transfusion. I seriously thought my darling Kia was going to die. But we were lucky and she's still with me. We will be starting Agility soon, so we're looking forward to that.
