Arrival Story:
My husband started researching dogs on Kijiji last August and we had emailed several dogs that met our criteria. We decided that we wanted a female yellow lab (after MUCH debate) However no one got back to us or did after the dogs were gone. I decided to post a dog wanted ad and within a day got a reply back about a 4 month old female yellow lab available. We emailed back and forth and decided to take her sight unseen. She was coming from Quebec and would meet us an hour from our home, as she was meeting another dog purchaser. So in 2 days, we had to get ready and pick up some supplies as we had nothing! Well, hubby went to meet this woman and came home with a bloated terrified blank slate of a puppy. She had travelled hours in a cage when she had never ever been in a vehicle before, never had a collar on, been in a house or anything. She had spent her entire life in a kennel with her litter mates and unknowst to us, we had just rescued her from a suspected puppy mill. As it turns out, the facility was raided 3 weeks after we got her and all the dogs seized. Over 600 dogs. We saved her.
