Best Tricks:
Getting mommy to fetch her toys.

Arrival Story:
My dad was working on some rental property when he noticed a litter of tiny puppies at the place next door. They were running loose and looked like they weren't being taken care of. He brought one home after paying the "owner" $20. He went back and got another one for me - the price went up to $50 - and gave her to me as a Christmas present.

She was covered with fleas, filthy and starving when I got her. But she and her litter mate did great with the right food and care. Her sister is snow white and a bully ;)

Merry Crosssed the Rainbow Bridge

My sweet little Merry Christmas passed over the Rainbow Bridge on February 24th. She had a terrible stroke that evening and never came around. Our Vet kindly met us at her clinic and administered the shot to let her go.

We had Merry for more than 15 years and we miss her more than we thought possible. I felt like I was going crazy looking for my girl under my feet before I moved away from the kitchen sink or turned to leave a room. I couldn't take it so my husband and I decided to adopt another dog. Many people thought it was too soon but if you love dogs the way we do you will understand. We went to shelters and contacted local rescue groups and eventually adopted 1 puppy and 1 young dog. They do not replace my Merry but I can say the distraction of house breaking and puppy kisses has helped heal my broken heart.
