Arrival Story:
I knew I wanted a Basset for a while so I kept checking with breeder's websites, etc. But was pretty sure I could never afford a Basset from a breeder. I found a listing at a local shelter and went to check the pups out. Annie's mom had been rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri and brought out here to CA to have her puppies. She had a litter of 6 and I was lucky enough to get to the adoption in time! I brought Annie home when she was 6 weeks old, she was such a little peanut!! She is growing like a weed and still the cutest little girl ever!!

Bio:
Annie is growing soo fast that she is often mistaken for a small adult female! Other dog owners comment that there is no way that she can possibly be only a few months old because she is such a big girl, HA! I love it! She is such a mama'a girl also. She is outgoing with other dogs most of the time, but ocassionally she will try to hide behind her mama or between her mama's legs when others approach. We went to puppy kindergarten for a few classes and she adapted very well but her mama's work schedule got in the way so we had to stop. Annie does understand "Sit" "Come" and "Heel" commands though....but only if they come from her mama...HAHA!
