Arrival Story:
After I moved out with Flash, dad decided he wanted his own golden doodle. Plus we had lost Ivy, our 19 yr old Shiba Inu in December of 2009, so time for a puppy :-) enter Sage! Sage was born at Kareaway Kennels to a golden doodle mom and standard poodle dad...making her an F1b, in breeder speak...commonly known as 3/4 poodle. We brought her home on February 23rd...a bundle of joy and well as pee and poo...but well worth a few easily cleaned pet beds and carpets. At 9 months old Sage-a-rage tore her left rear ACL. 2000 dollars later, she is tearing around the backyard again...much to her dads alarm and worriment. Sage is currently taking obedience classes at Flash's alma mater, Circle Tail Inc. She is still pretty excitable but calms down nicely and has stellar commands :-) Dad is hard on her though and gets frustrated because in class she gets really focused on Flash and me...(hint hint...I have the good treats) Sage is a great addition to the Engel family.
