I purchased Freckles as a companion for my boyfriend Mickey who had lost his 21-year old son as the result of an auto accident. Then, ironically, when Freckles was about four years old, my boyfriend Mickey passed away after a simple surgical procedure. Now, Freckles and I are inseparable and he is helping to heal my broken heart.
