Arrival Story:
I had met and fell in love with a female Akita at the kennel where I was working at the time and knew that I wanted one one day. One night I was up late on the computer and happened to look at the pets available on craigslist. I saw an ad titled "3 month large breed puppy" I was curious, so I opened it up and I knew as soon as I saw her picture that we needed her in our family. My fiance went to look at her the next day and then I went back later that day with him and we decided that we definitely wanted her and went back to get her a few days later on the day after Christmas. So she was our Christmas present for each other and the best one I've ever received! : ) We also became very good friends with Akina's breeder. They wanted to keep her, but couldn't because of financial reasons, which is why they needed to rehome her. She really enjoys getting to see her Mom and previous owners. She has just been such a wonderful addition to our family and we're so happy to have her in our life!
