Arrival Story:
She came into the animal hospital my boyfriend works at with a severely injured leg. It was a open fracture with the bone protruding out of the side and had clearly been this way for at least a couple days. The problem was she was at the county pound and to properly fix the leg it would be very costly, and would make her harder to adopt, since she would need lots of help and time to heal. MY boyfriend convinced them to let him and another intern do the surgery on her, so that way it wouldn't cost so much. He also managed her recovery, and while she recovered he fell in love with her. He introduced me to her and I was in love. I came by the clinic everyday to check on her and hold her. I asked to see her about three days after her surgery and my boyfriend said she already went back to the pound. I started crying, I knew she wasn't my dog but I already loved her. What I didn't know was my boyfriend planned to secretly adopt her and bring her to me since the next week was valentines day and close to my birthday. I would have to say BEST GIFT EVER!!!!
