He was labeled "un-adoptable"and I was warned that he would bite. The first day I was at the shelter I got him out of his kennel and took him for a walk. We talked and just got to know each other. I left that evening and knew he had to be mine! At this time I was living in an apartment that did not allow dogs so the next morning I called a Realtor friend of mine and told him I needed to buy a house. I went back to the shelter several times a week to visit with Leo and we quickly formed a bond. He was still a bit shy but his eyes lit up each time I arrived at the shelter to see him! After 2 LONG, months I was ready to close on my house and bring Leo home! The afternoon of my closing I went to the shelter to pick up my Leo and it was the greatest day of my life. I didn't save him, he saved me! He is the most wonderful dog and each day I have with him makes me happier than the previous. He's a wonderful dog! He still has a few issues, mainly with men and over aggressive people he doesn't know , but he's come a long way. He has allowed my boyfriend to move in with us and Leo tolerates him! He is very protective, and excellent guard dog and loves to spend time with his mom. Bio: Leo was abused before being tied up to the gate outside of the shelter he was dumped at.
