Arrival Story:
We had lost out Nova in Nov 2002 and were looking for a rescue to adopt. We wanted another Lab but didnt want a puppy, needed a dog that would get along with our 4 cats and one that was already trained. We found Sierra on Petfinder and adopted her.

Bio:
Sierra is the most sweet, loving and clam doggie. She is hypothyroid and was very overweight when we adopted her (118 lbs). We got her thyroid under control with medication and took lots of walks and watched her diet. She Is now at her ideal weight of 85 lbs. She is a very big dog. Sierra loves her 4 cats and will herd them. They adore her as well. Sierra started to lose her appetite in early January 2009. After a battery of tests over the next 2 months and her losing about 15 lbs, she was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal lymphoma on March 4. She has been stabilized and with meds has gotten her appetite back. Shes been eating like normal for the last week.
