Went to get my new glasses today and man can I see good. I told Thad under the desk and he did. Training is finally looking like we are getting some where. I just think I expect to much perfection for a dog so young.

October 1

We won dairy entry for the day today again:) We went to Tubbs to buy some decorations for the dinning room and ran into a man who is retired from training police K9. He asked a few questions to me about Thad and told us how well bonded we were for him being so you. He also said he hadn't seen a dog that young so well behaved. He told me with some more training I will be receiving from the new trainer I hired(we start tomorrow and I got her through the obedience club I belong to so she is only charging me $35 a session)he should be good to go in about 5-7mons. I don't know about how quick or slow it will go but it was nice to hear. We worked on public access stuff today and sit, down, with me.

Sept 30

Was up all night with Boo Boo and Thad they had the runs and got sick all night. Thad tried twice to use it this morning but had nothing left to come out. With all the recalls I am going to keep and eye on them even though I don't posses anything that has been recalled you never know better safe than sorry. Work with the head halter some more this morning.

Set 29

Worked a little on getting Thaddeus use to his new head halter. Practice sit and downs on first command.

Sept 28

Practiced sit stays, come when called, and downs on first command. Got his gentle leader in the mail today.

Sept 26

We went and worked novelist at RROTC Marge called for us and even gave some suggestions. Did come when called and fronts for practice earlier. Plus we worked on halts.

September 25

Thad went with me to the eye doctor today and laid quietly in the back of the room all but once and laid back down when corrected. Acted like a real service dog today in all public access situations. I was so proud of him!!!! Called someone recommended to me from this obedience club I am a member of and she will train Thad for only $35 a session.

Sept 24

Took Thad to his vet today to get six month shoots and he was scared at first then calmed down. He also got something irritating his eye and got drops for that.

Sept 23

Worked on sit and down stays, walking in heel position, front/heel and under the table with both a restaurant booth style table and regular round dinning table. Went to a meeting which he stayed in a down position the whole time except for once when I left to use the little girls room and went in and got in a down position while I was in the stall. Then sit stay till I was through washing hands and back to meeting room. He loaded and unloaded car perfectly.

Sept 21

We woke up late in the morning and took a nap for several hrs later in the afternoon woke up about 6:30pm. We worked in the morning on front/heels and this evening we just took it easy because I am so worn out from the last wk. I am having car problems so next wk I am going to have to put it in the shop Thad and I have dr appt Monday and Tuesday so we won't be able to put it in the shop till after that.
