Being with his human mom, being outside exploring, kids of any age, riding in the truck with his nose out the window to catch all the smells.
Anything we would throw for him.
Anywhere he could be off leash
On February 2, 2001 I went to pick out a six week old Labrador pup from an ad in the local paper. Instead, amid the chaos of puppies barking, rolling, and chasing each other – one sweet little pup left the others behind and came and sat at my feet as if there was nowhere else in the world he’d rather be. It was that way for both of us for more than 11 years.
We lost our sweet pup to cancer on February 10th, 2012. It was my choice and probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Neither one of us was ready to say goodbye but it was time. So loved, so missed.
I have never in my life met a sweeter, kinder, more gentle dog. He loved everyone - especially children. He never jumped up, begged for food or attention, barked (o.k. - well maybe 6 times in the 11+ years I had him), nor growled at anyone or anything. He was all about love both getting and giving. His favorite spot in the world was by my side. He even wagged his tail at the vets when they had to do a procedure of any kind. What an amazing dog he was! I was so blessed to be his human companion. What a treasure. What a joy. What a dog.
