Arrival Story:
I went to look at Addy's breeder's website, and it was gone. A squatter page in its place. A little concerned, I sent her a Facebook message asking if everything was okay. She'd decided, for family reasons, to give up breeding and showing--and she had two hairless girls she wanted to place. We talked about the girls, and I was leaning more towards one--Dora--than the other, but they both sounded like potential friends for Addy. We arranged to meet on the first day we were both free.
In the intervening two weeks, the woman who had been the other girl's handler when she was showing heard that this breeder was retiring,and might be placing these two girls. She called and said how much she missed the girl she'd handled, and that she'd love to have her back.
So it was just Dora that we met,and we took her home. :)
