Arrival Story:
I had noticed a young black male for adoption that had been available for almost 6 months. Originally I had been looking for a fawn male around 5+ years of age. George was 2 years old. I had asked the Rescue if he was still available and if I would be considered to adopt him. Great news ! He was available, now to arrange for the meeting, I waited which seemed to be the longest 2 weeks of my life. Drove to Michigan and he stole my heart. The rest is history. I am truly blessed to have George in my life. Poor George had a tough life, he had spent a year and a half in a cage before he was in rescue, he was purchased by a family that had him for only 2 months, then he was turned over to rescue, while in rescue, George was in 3 foster homes, so this poor little guy has been in many homes in his short life. George suffers from seperation anxiety, he has apnics attacks so severe that he loses control over his bowels and bladder. George has improved so much now that he has a forever home, and no longer has panic attacks, but George is still learning proper potty time maners and is making progress everyday !
