Today Doc lost his battle with epilepsy. Actually, from his increased seizures and increased severity of the seizures, they think it likely that Doc had a brain tumor. We let him go to the bridge this afternoon. I am such a basket case now. He was a wonderful buddy and so much fun to be around.
We love you Dockety. We will never forget your soft little head or the way you would lick your nose when we scratched your butt. Be at peace, away from the pain you had in this world. I am looking forward to when we see you in the next.

Yesterday Mom finally got the hint that I am really tired of being babygated into the kitchen! I know it is so I won't fall down the stairs or something if I have a seizure, but boy was it getting old. Until yesterday, that is!!
Yesterday I got to go on an adventure! Mom put my harness and bandana on, and we hopped in car. First stop was McDonalds for lunch. I got my very own double cheese burger minus the bun. It was so good that I tried to eat Mom's burger too! She didn't think that was very cool. Oh well, can't blame a guy for trying!
Next stop was the Harley Davidson Store. Paula Mom has a motorcycle in the garage (I like to tinkle on the tires) and Jan Mom wants a bike too. I got to sniff all the cool bikes in the Harley shop, and all the people who work there loved on me and told me how handsome I am. I'm glad they could appreciate my finer qualities!
Next stop was Petco for some treats. I eat the organic stuff now since Mom thinks maybe all those chemicals in the food might contribute to my seizures. (Gotta wonder what she was thinking with that cheeseburger!) Anyway, my adoring public was waiting for me at the Petco too. Especially those little 2 leggers in the green with the boxes of cookies. They are EVERYWHERE these days, have you noticed??
Last stop was the new Ronald Reagan Park with the Dog Park in the back. I like this one since there are 2 areas for big and little dogs. That way I don't get tromped by huge monsters. I get enough of that at home! I didn't get to play much, though, since the water was off and getting dehydrated is no fun.
Back at the house I was ready for dinner and a nap. It was a big day and lots of fun. I hope we do it again soon!

In just a few minutes I will have been one whole week without a seizure! This is a big deal for me! I am so happy!! Yippee! I've been taking my phenobarb every 12 hours like a good boy, and I am so glad that it is working! JanMom calls it my pheeney-weenies since she hides my pill in a hot dog (like I don't know it is there). PaulaMom calls it Weeniebarb. They are so wierd sometimes!
I am so excited that I might be able to talk about something other that seizures and drugs for a change! Like what I did today. Here goes-
This morning I helped Mom clean the kitchen and throw out all the gross old stuff in the fridge. I offered to eat it all and save money on trashbags, but for some reason I was the only one that thought that was a good idea. I got a peanut butter kong out of the deal though, to keep me out from underfoot, so I guess it wasn't a total loss.
This afternoon I played in the yard with my family. Rosie played Frisbee while Ollie and Dori and I ran around. Fletcher was inside since he and Oliver don't get along. I heard Mom say that Fletcher has a potential adopter, so maybe we won't have to hear Ollie bark at him for too much longer. I know Fletcher would like to have his own family and quit being a foster kid!
I didn't see Grover this afternoon. Turns out he was at the PetSmart getting his hair cut. I'm pretty lucky that I have short hair, so I don't have to go do that. I hardly recognized Grover when he came back! He looks pretty handsome & I think he weights 10 pounds less now. I'll ask Mom about putting some "after" pics of him on his Dogster page.
Well, gotta run. Mom wants to give me a cookie for having made it a week seizure free, and I never say no to food!
More later!
