Arrival Story:
I have been volunteering at Our Pals Place for three years now and since then i have adopted two dogs; Candy and Ginger. Candy (beagle basset hound mutt) we only had for a short time before she bit my friend in the face landing her with 20 stiches (two days befor xmas). Aggression to children was the one thing we could not tolerate. (we had been working with her on potty training and heartworm treatment) So we took her back (no-kill) where I continued to love her like my own untill we found her a home that fit my high needs for my little princess. Then around a year later i spotted Gingi when I convinced my mom to to take me to see the dogs and say hi. It was just ment to be; she was living in a foster home so she was no where to be found in the builing on a normal day. Today she was there because a man (who never showed) was coming to see her, had i not been there my mom would have overlooked her; she didnt seem to be what we were looking for. Once we got her out of the small crate and into the yard it was love at first sight, she was a new dog. No picture ever did her justice we had to get the family over to see her. Thats how we ended up with THE BEST dog we have ever had!
